A Longford writer has been selected as a finalist in the 'Women Changing the World' awards.
The global awards program aims to elevate and celebrate women in their journey as changemakers and trailblazers across a range of industries.
The awards are presented by Oprah Winfrey's 'all-time favourite guest', Dr. Tererai Trent.
Author Eileen Moynihan is based in Longford and has published seven children's books.
She has also worked locally as a teacher for children with special needs.
Eileen says her nomination in these prestigious awards have been making her think about the power of community work:
