Marcin Pieciak was sentenced to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter.

A Longford councillor says Sarah McNally's killer should have been jailed for life.

Her ex-boyfriend Marcin Pieciak stabbed the 41-year-old to death in a New York pub in March of last year.

He was sentenced to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter.
