A Longford woman, who is in kidney failure , and who spent last Christmas in a hospital bed, is urging everyone to stick to Covid rules in the coming days.

CF campaigner Jillian McNulty only woke from a week-long coma on New Year's Eve last year - and subsequently spent three further months in hospital during the first lockdown this spring when she suffered serious health complications.

She is now on a new medication which she says has changed her life and she will be able to spend Christmas with her family.
