Longford woman released on bail following 2021 robbery

A Longford woman has been remanded on bail in connection with a robbery that occurred in the town last year.

Rachel Robertson with an address at Moatfarrell, Ballinalee appeared before Judge Keenan Johnson at a sitting of Longford Circuit Court yesterday.

The offence occurred on May 25th last, when Ms Robertson along with a second female forcibly entered the property of an elderly man and stole a quantity of cash as well as a mobile phone.

She pleaded guilty to the charge on October 25th 2021and was remanded in custody.

Yesterdays court heard that Ms Robertson's behaviour had improved in recent months and the Ballinalee woman was granted bail on the condition that she attends a rehabilitation course at St. Francis Farm.
