It's been illegal to re-sell tickets above face-value since July 31st.

International football matches are not covered by ticket-touting legislation yet, according to the Minister for Trade Promotion.

It's been illegal to re-sell tickets above face-value since July 31st.

But Minister of State, Robert Troy, says the FAI hasn't applied to be covered by the legislation.

The Longford Westmeath TD says they should do so - as tickets are being offered at inflated prices online for next month's World Cup qualifier against Portugal.
