Longford Westmeath TD cautions staff on safety following graffiti attack

Longford Westmeath Deputy Sorca Clarke has had to caution people in her office about their personal safety after an overnight graffiti attack.

One of the workers at the Mullingar office arrived this morning to find images of male genitalia and abusive phrases spray painted on a wide area across the walls.

The Sinn Fein TD has described it as an act of misogyny and says it does little to help the cause of trying to attract more women into politics.

Deputy Clarke says the incident has had an impact in some way on everyone in her office.
