It's also been confirmed the new Longford-Westmeath Educational and Training Board (LWETB) building is nearing completion.
The site, located at Connolly Barracks, will see the change of use of the former gymnasium building to educational use, among other measures.
LWETB say they intend to expand its Further Education and training (FET) provision in Longford with the introduction of electrical apprenticeship training at the campus.
