Over €190,000 in funding has been announced for community safety projects across Longford and the Midlands.
The funding comes from the Community Safety Fund 2025, which redirects money seized from criminal activity back into local communities.
In Granard, the Lus na Gréine Family Resource Centre is receiving €50,000 for its "Choices for Life" Youth Drug Awareness and Resilience Programme.
The initiative helps young people build confidence, make positive choices, and avoid the dangers of drug misuse.
