Petrol and diesel prices have surged since the Iran war - with both fuels going above 2 euro a litre.
The government intervened this week by cutting excise duty, but some garages haven't passed it on.
But Fianna Fáil senator Joe Flaherty says it's scandalous to suggest filling stations around the country are price-gouging:
