Figures in today's Irish Independent broke down the number of convictions for driving without insurance, dangerous and careless driving, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Longford saw a 14.9% increase in convictions, at 216 recorded in 2024.
Roscommon saw a minor increase of 0.9%, with just one additional case recorded in 2024 compared to the previous year.
While the Carrick-on-Shannon area in Co. Leitrim saw one of the country's highest percentage decreases in convictions, down 13.2% since 2023.
