Longford Pride will hold their Pride Parade this afternoon as part of their second ever local festival.
Pride is a celebration of the LGBTQ plus community and a protest at the discrimination still faced by them across the world.
Longford's first Pride Celebration took place last year, with this year's events now expanded in to a festival.
It was launched during the week with a number of talks, meet ups and events taking place over the last number of days.
Today's festivities will start with a craft fair at the Pig Market Lane on Ballymahon street before the Parade kicks off from the former Connolly Barracks at 4pm.
Caroline Lewis from the Longford Pride Committee is urging people to get out and support the celebrations:
