Longford home prices increase at the highest rate in the country

The report shows Longford house prices jumped to 17.39% this year.

Longford has seen the largest housing price increase in the country, according to the Q1 housing report from MyHome.ie.

The report shows Longford house prices jumped to 17.39% this year.

The My Home.ie report shows the annual change in the cost of a 3 bed semi-detached home in each county nationwide.

The average price of a 3 bed semi detached in Longford stands at €135,000.

House prices in Roscommon saw a 2.4% gain with houses up to €169,000.

Meanwhile in Leitrim, the same type home has been selling slightly higher with €169,500.

Nationally, the price of buying a home has increased by almost 3.2 % this year.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, Managing Director Joanne Geary says the biggest challenge is finding housing supply for the region's growing population.
