Longford Fianna Fáil senator will still vote for Jim Gavin in presidential election

The GAA legend pulled out of the race last weekend after he emerged he owed a tenant more than €3,000, dating back to 2009. 

Fianna Fáil senator Joe Flaherty says he will still vote for Jim Gavin in the presidential election on October 24th.

The GAA legend pulled out of the race last weekend after it emerged he owed a tenant more than €3,000, dating back to 2009.

But his name will still appear on the ballot paper, alongside Fine Gael's Heather Humphreys and Independent TD Catherine Connolly.
