Longford couple sent forward for trial following incident where Garda's gun was discharged

A Longford couple have been sent forward for trial to the Circuit Court arising out of an alleged incident where a Garda's firearm was discharged.

30-year-old Edward Stokes and his wife Sharon Stokes, from Ferriskill, Granard, appeared at a sitting of Longford District Court this week.

Mr Stokes is facing three charges arising out of the incident on December 3rd 2018, and his wife is facing one charge from the same incident.

Books of evidence were served on the couple and Judge Seamus Hughes advised both of the alibi warning.
