Longford County Council has launched their programme of events for Bike Week in an effort to promote the physical and mental health benefits of the activity.
Bike Week runs until Sunday the 18th of May and will see a range of community activities take place each day across Greenways, walk ways and public areas.
Events include a bikers’ lunch cycle for those working in the town on Tuesday and an older adult cycle along the Royal Canal on Friday.
The week will also see multiple cycling events for children and local secondary school students each day of the celebration.
