Up to 120 new jobs could be on the way for county Longford. Technimark, a multinational specialising in precision-made plastic components and packaging for sectors including healthcare, has submitted plans to develop a major new facility at the former Eir depot in Templemichael Business Park. The company purchased the site from Longford County Council and is seeking planning approval to establish a three-storey production hub.
According to planning documents, the proposed development would include a 9,545 square metre moulding plant designed to support the production of injection-moulded medical devices. Fianna Fáil Cllr Séamus Butler says it's a positive for the local area:
