A planning decision on the proposed Aldi store for Boyle is due today.
The German supermarket chain wants to build the supermarket and refurbish five houses on Patrick Street in the town.
In December, it emerged an Ecological Impact Assessment found the proposed development would result in the loss of a roost for five bats.

Local councillor Seán Moylan is hopeful that the decision will be made in Boyle's favour.
