A local TD is calling on the Government to take urgent action as dentists across the region continue to withdraw their services from the medical card scheme.
Independent TD Denis Naughten says over half of dentists have left the scheme in County Roscommon in the last five years.
Currently, there are just five dentists offering their services across the entire county.

Nationally, there are currently 1.5 million people eliglible for the medical card but fewer than 600 dentists operating the scheme.
