A local TD has praised local residents after a resolution was reached in the Ballaghaderreen Public Realm Enhancement row. Denis Kelly, who was the mediator for the talks between Roscommon County Council and locals, confirmed the news earlier today. Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane said Mr Kelly had also played his part in bringing both sides together.
The Council will now prepare a Part 8 planning application for a car parking scheme consisting of a new car park in 'The Plots', which also includes additional parking at the eastern area of The Square. Deputy Kerrane says there's widespread relief in Ballaghaderreen following the resolution:
