A local TD has played down fears that the N5 bypass will have a negative impact on villages in west Roscommon. Sinn Féin's Claire Kerrane was speaking after Frenchpark residents raised concerns over a separate public realm project. Roscommon County Council met with members of the community last week to discuss proposed works in the village.
Concerns were raised over plans for a one-way system as well the loss of car parking spaces. Frenchpark is among a number of towns and villages that will be bypassed when the N5 Ballaghaderreen to Scramogue project is completed.
