Longford-Westmeath TD Peter Burke is being tipped to replace Paschal Donohoe as finance minister.
Donohoe is quitting government, and as a TD.
He's understood to have been offered the position of managing director at the world bank, informing the Taoiseach and Tánaiste that he will accept the position.
