A local TD has highlighted concerns with the proposed gambling bill. Under the proposed bill, it would prevent charities and local sports clubs advertising their fundraising draws if the prize pool is over €10,000.
Sligo-Leitrim TD Martin Kenny addressed Taoiseach Simon Harris on the issue in the Dáil earlier this week. Speaking to Shannonside FM News, Deputy Kenny believes some amendents need to be made to the bill in order to protect local clubs and organisations:
