Local TD concerned bluetongue will spread more next month

The virus was first detected in the Republic on January 22nd.

A Sligo-Leitrim TD is raising concerns the bluetongue virus will spread more next month, as weather improves.

The virus was first detected in the Republic on January 22nd.

Agriculture Minister Martin Heyden says it has since been detected in five cattle herds in Co Wexford.
