A local TD has been appointed as the Fine Gael party's spokesperson on Northern Ireland and the UK. Sligo Leitrim TD Frankie Feighan was appointed by the Tánaiste and party leader Simon Harris. Speaking following the appointment, he described the role as a challenging one in the current geo-political climate.
The Tánaiste stated that Deputy Feighan has demonstrated his experience in building and maintaining important and enduring relationships. The Sligo Leitrim TD says he is looking forward to continuing building relationships with his UK counterparts.
