Local TD and GP says more and more families under the grip of cocaine

He says local families are coming to him with addiction issues and are at risk from criminal gangs.

Roscommon Galway TD and Ballygar GP Martin Daly says cocaine is becoming increasingly prevalent in this region. He says local families are coming to him with addiction issues and are at risk from criminal gangs. It comes after a Roscommon coroner warned young people about the danger of cocaine after it was linked to yet another death.

Brian O'Connor was speaking at the inquest of an 18-year-old man who died by suicide behind a nightclub in Ballaghaderreen. Speaking on the Let's Talk programme earlier today, Deputy Daly said more education is needed among young people:
