A local Fine Gael TD says some opposition parties have been 'playing to the crowd' following recent fuel protests. Longford-Westmeath TD Micheál Carrigy has been speaking after a turbulent couple of weeks for Government which saw Michael Healy-Rae resign as a Junior Minister.
They introduced further cuts to excise on petrol and diesel last week however some opposition parties have remained critical of their approach. Deputy Carrigy says they're calling for measures that can't be implemented:
