Almost 4,000 students across the Shannonside region began Leaving or Junior Cert exams this morning.
Over 1,800 students in Roscommon, Leitrim and Longford are sitting their Leaving Cert exams this year whilst just over 2,000 are doing the Junior Cert.
Ballymahon Vocational School in County Longford is among those hosting state exams today.
