A local Senator has called for card payments to be accepted on all bus routes. Fine Gael's Gareth Scahill raised the issue in the Seanad yesterday.
He says on some Bus Eireann services, the only way of purchasing a ticket is either with cash or online. Senator Scahill believes people should have the option of paying by card whilst travelling on public transport:
