Chair of the RTE Board, Siun Ni Raghallaigh, has apologised to the public and to the staff of RTE. She said the Board has now taken necessary steps to ensure there is no repeat of these failures. Meanwhile, local Senator Micheál Carrigy believes the board's position is untenable. Speaking to Shannonside News, said questions remained regarding the decision to move ahead with the musical:
