Two schools in the Shannonside region are topping the table when it comes to sending their students on to third level education.
The Irish Independent Feeder Schools report, published this week, showed that two schools across Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon sent 100 per cent of their students on to third level education in 2025.
Mohill Community College and the Convent of Mercy in Roscommon town had 100 per cent of their students go on to third level education last year.
Mohill's rate went from 59 per cent in 2024 to 100 per cent in 2025.
A strong increase was also reported in Drumshanbo Vocational School going from 67 per cent to 82.
Moyne Community School and Méan Scoil Mhuire recorded the highest figures in Longford at 85 per cent.
While in Roscommon, 85 per cent students from St. Nathy's College in Ballaghaderreen enrolled in third level, up 9 per cent on 2024's figure.
