A County Roscommon school has lost in its bid to get a planning refusal overturned. Glanduff National School near Lecarrow had sought permission to develop a car park and community garden in October of last year. The project was to include a new entrance from the public road, a car park, and a community garden.
Roscommon County Council refused permission on the 30th of June last year. The board of management appealed the decision for the development at Carnagh West to An Coimisiún Pleanala. The higher planning authority upheld the decision this month citing road safety concerns.
