A status yellow weather alert remains in place for the entire Shannonside region this morning.
The warning, for wind came into effect at 3am this morning.
It is due to expire at 11pm tonight.

Met Éireann say that winds associated with Storm Chandra will be very strong and gusty particularly on coasts and in exposed areas.
This may lead to fallen trees and loose debris and hazardous travel conditions.
