Postmasters in the Shannonside Northern Sound region are urging people to continue personal contact with people in nursing homes as we enter further restrictions.
An Post has expanded its Community Focus supports to include free delivery of all card and letter mail posted to and from residents of Nursing and Care homes in the State.
It adds to the check in service that delivery staff are carrying out if requested, the delivery service for essential items such as newspapers, groceries and prescriptions and the postage pick up services for older and vulnerable people.
