Waiting lists for home care support in parts of the Shannonside region are the highest in the country.
Figures show that there are currently 1,380 people on the waiting list in the HSE West and North West area, which includes Leitrim and Roscommon.
In contrast, Longford is part of the Midlands region, which has 358.
