Local Ministers expected to be part of St Patrick's Day trips

The agenda for where various ministers will travel this year is being signed off on at cabinet this morning.

Five local TDs are expected to be among those who will be included in the annual Ministerial trips for St. Patrick's Day.

Last year, Longford-Westmeath Deputy and Enterprise Minister Peter Burke was based in the New England region.

Kevin 'Boxer' Moran, Minister of State with responsibility for the OPW headed to Portugal.

The Czech Republic, or Czechia, was visited by Robert Troy, the Minister of State with special responsibility for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance.

Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Marian Harkin visited The Netherlands and Belgium in 2025.

While it will be a first trip for Frank Feighan, following his appointment as Minister of State for Public Procurement, Digitalisation and eGovernment.

The United States is expected to feature heavily again this year despite calls for Micheál Martin not to travel to the White House in light of Donald Trump's latest threats and actions.
