A local MEP has expressed his disappointment over the closure of Pieta House's centre in Athlone.
News emerged this evening that the organisation's centre on Sean Costello Street in the Midlands town is set to close as its services move to an outreach model.
The centre was established following extensive campaigning from local committees and over €120,000 raised for its development.
