A local MEP says 'a lot more work needs to be done' to eradicate child sex abuse material online.
It comes as the European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favour of criminalising AI-generated child sex abuse material in all member states.
It's in an effort to combat Artifical Intelligence systems manipulating human footage to create exploitative material.
The directive will make it illegal for people to generate, own or distribute the content online.
