The average wait time for a driving test in the Shannonside region now stands at just over ten weeks.
The details were revealed by the Central Statistics Office this week.
As of the end of February, Athlone had the shortest wait time for a test in the region at eight weeks.

There's a nine-week wait for a test in Roscommon while it's currently eleven weeks in Longford.
Carrick on Shannon has the longest wait for a driving test locally, with learner drivers waiting around 13 weeks.
The RSA said earlier this year that they were hoping to have around 200 testers in service nationwide to tackle wait times.
