Local hospitals under pressure today with number of patients on trolleys

Local hospitals are under pressure today with a number of patients waiting for a hospital bed.
Five people are waiting on trolleys in Mullingar Regional Hospital, while five patients are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

Meanwhile, a total of five patients are on trolleys in Portiuncula Hospital, with eight in wards.
Elsewhere in the region, Sligo University Hospital is also dealing with high numbers, with 42 patients on trolleys.
Nationally, University Hospital Limerick has the highest number of patients on trolleys, at 120.
