Local hospitals are under pressure today with a number of patients waiting for a hospital bed. Sligo University Hospital is busy today with 23 patients waiting on trolleys.
Meanwhile, the Midland Regional Hospital in Mullingar is also busy with 8 patients waiting for a bed as of this morning. University Hospital Limerick has the highest number at 94, while Letterkenny University Hospital has 46 patients waiting.
