Local hospital A&Es continue to deal with cyber attack fallout

HSE computer systems remain compromised and are not in use as tech experts work to resolve the situation.

Over 50 people are waiting for beds in Hospitals across the Shannonside Northern Sound Region today as the HSE continues to face major issues from last weeks cyber attack.

Sligo University Hospital is the worst hit today, with 29 people waiting on trolleys or elsewhere in the hospital.

That's followed by the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar and their sister Hospital in Tullamore who are facing 12 and 9 patients respectively waiting for beds.

There are just 3 people on trolleys in UHG and 1 in Cavan General Hospital today while Portiuncula and Drogheda are reporting no one waiting for beds.

Nationally, there are 194 admitted patients waiting for beds today, according to the INMO Trolley Watch
