Local Gardaí warn of increased burglary risk during Winter months

Longford Gardaí are warning the public of the increased risk of home burglary as the winter months begin.

Gardaí recorded a major drop in home break ins over the past year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as many people were forced to remain at home due to public health restrictions.

With society almost fully reopened and the evening's getting darker, people across the region are being urged to be proactive in their home security measures.

Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Community Sergeant Darren Conlon had this safety advice.
