Local Gardaí are calling on the public to drink responsibility over the long St Patrick's weekend.
Gardaí across the Shannonside region are bracing themselves for an increase in public order offences.
They're issuing warnings that Gardaí will be on patrol through the area.

Sergeant Andrew Haran from Athlone Garda Station is calling on those socialising this weekend to be conscious of others around them over the weekend.
