A new ten-year comparison shows a drop in local Garda numbers covering the Shannonside region in the last ten years.
The figures come amid ongoing concerns about resources, recruitment and visibility in rural communities.
In 2016, there were 898 serving members across the Sligo-Leitrim and Roscommon-Longford divisions.
That figure has now fallen to 866 in 2026 - a reduction of 32 gardaí.
Breaking it down, the division covering Sligo and Leitrim has seen numbers drop from 297 to 291.
In the Roscommon-Longford division, staffing has decreased from 601 members in 2016 to 575 this year - a fall of 26.
The Sligo-Leitrim division has 222 ordinary officers, 53 sergeants, 12 inspectors and three superintendents.
A total 438 ordinary officers are station in Roscommon-Longford-Mayo, 109 sergeants, 22 inspectors and five superintendents.
