Local farmer says further suspected cases of bluetongue is worrying news

It was confirmed today that 44 suspected cases have been identified.

A local farmer says further suspected cases of bluetongue in Co. Down is worrying news for farmers in the region. It was confirmed today that 44 suspected cases have been identified whilst two cases have already been confirmed in two cows in the same herd at the farm near Bangor.

A 20-kilometre temporary control zone has been brought in due to the disease, which can be devastating to herds. Leitrim councillor and farmer Brendan Barry is concerned by today's news:
