A Longford cultural event has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
The Longford Lights Festival took place in February at Connolly Barracks, with over 11,000 people attending the show.
It comprised of various exhibitions, with hand-crafted lanterns and decorations scattered around the site.

The festival has recently been shortlisted in the "Best Creativity in the Community" section in the Business to Arts Awards, the only awards event in Ireland that acknowledges accomplishments in creative and cultural partnerships.
The Longford Lights Festival was a partnership between Longford County Council and artist Tom Meskell.
