A Fine Gael councillor is calling on the HSE to unveil a roadmap for the full restoration of maternity services in Ballinasloe.
No high-risk mothers can be seen in the unit in Portiuncula University Hospital for the foreseeable future.
The HSE made the decision last month after reviews highlighted several concerns in the unit.

Ballinasloe councillor Alan Harney says the decision should be reversed after action is taken.
