Bertie Ahern's contribution to the peace process should entitle him to return to politics.
That's according to Fianna Fail Councillor Seamus Butler following the re-admittance of Bertie Ahern to the party following a 10 year break.
Ahern resigned in 2012 as Micheál Martin was making moves to expel him over the findings of the Mahon Tribunal.

The move comes just weeks before the anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement.
