A north Roscommon councillor says he's disappointed an upgrade of the Athlone to Boyle Road has been ruled out. It's after Fianna Fáil TD Martin Daly called for the N61 to be given national primary status in the Dáil today.
But Tánaiste Simon Harris said Transport Infrastructure Ireland intends keeping it at national secondary level. Tulsk councillor Seán Moylan, from Fianna Fáil, says it's the wrong decision:
