A Leitrim Councillor is calling for the Government to address driving test waiting times.
A motion on the issue was brought forward at this month's meeting of Leitrim County Council
Councillor Brendan Barry called on Ministers Eamon Ryan, Jack Chambers, as well as the Road Safety Authority to deal with the long waiting times for driving tests in Leitrim and nationwide.

The current waiting time for a driving test in Carrick on Shannon is 7 months.
Speaking to Shannonside FM, Councillor Barry says the long waiting lists are having a detrimental effect on those commuting to college and work.
